  • Notebook and writing utensils
  • Bed linens – twin XL size sheets
    • Pillow
    • Blanket
  • Bath towels and wash clothes
  • Toiletries – shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, personal care products, etc.
  • Hair dryer, curlers, etc.
  • Clothing
    • Casual, comfortable clothing – shirts, shorts (halfway-ish to knee length), jeans/long pants, etc.
    • Nice dress attire for Sunday’s Closing Ceremonies
      •  Ladies – skirts, blouses, dresses or dress pants, etc
      •  Men – dress pants and shirt (vest, jacket, tie optional)
    • Sweatshirt or other long sleeve shirts
    • Sturdy walking shoes (must have close-toed shoes for Service Projects)
    • Set of Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty for Service Project
      • Mulching, Painting, Weeding and other projects may be part of the program for some groups
  • Umbrella and/or rain coat
  • Sunscreen
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Water bottle
  • Alarm clock
  • Small fan (rooms are air conditioned)
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Small personal bag or backpack
  • Snacks / Drinks – They can have them in their rooms, and pack light snacks to carry with them thru the day if so desired, but cannot snack during presentations or guest speakers
  • Prescription Medication (if applicable)
  • OTC medication as needed
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Small amount of spending money $35-$50 (optional – for HOBY merchandise and other items available during the weekend)

Prescription and OTC Medication:

If applicable, be sure to bring any prescription and/or OTC medication. Please bring only as much medication as will reasonably be needed during the HOBY event (4 days). Prescription medication must be in its original container as labeled by the pharmacy. Please refer to the Policy for Use of Medication During a HOBY Event included in the Health and Safety section of the Pre-Seminar Forms for more information.
